Katie Price on This Morning earlier this monthKatie Price is speaking out amid fresh reports about her relationship with her husband Lee Andrews.
Over the weekend, The Sun On Sunday reported on an alleged voicenote sent by Katie’s husband to a friend, claiming he could sell a sex tape featuring the couple for around £250,000 behind her back.
Setting the record straight on her Instagram story, Katie insisted (as reported by Metro): “This story is completely untrue. I have never made such a tape and any suggestion otherwise is false and deeply misleading.
“The claims appear to be based on a voicenote sent from Lee discussing a tape… a tape which does not exist and never will. This material has been passed to The Sun by a third party and does not reflect reality.”
She added: “I feel incredibly upset, abused and humiliated that such serious and false allegations have been shared publicly without any factual basis.”
In The Sun On Sunday’s reporting, the tabloid claimed that Lee later told his friend he was “not serious” when he allegedly said he’d sell an intimate video featuring himself and the former glamour model.
The sharing of private, sexual photos or videos of someone without their permission, or “revenge porn” has been illegal in the UK since 2015.
Katie raised eyebrows at the beginning of this year, when she shared that she and Lee had tied the knot in Dubai just days after meeting for the first time in real life, having previously connected on social media.
In the months since, Lee has reportedly been arrested and detained in Dubai on two separate occasions.
Earlier this month, while promoting a new documentary series about her life in the public eye, Katie told HuffPost UK: “It’s literally one scandal after another scandal, and another one, and another one, and another one. Even till this day there is a scandal!”
She added: “All the speculation about my life and what’s going on now, none of you have any idea.”
